Configuring Mail for Outlook Express 6 For Your Account. For more info about setting up accounts in Outlook Express 6 see your help files.

1) Open Outlook Express 6
2) if you have opened Outlook Express 6 for the first time a dialog should pop up.

3) When you reach the Wizard window below type in the e-mail address you would like to use or the name of the e-mail account




4) Next type in the e-mail address you are setting up this account for.





5) After this you will need to put in your POP and SMTP settings (make sure to replace YourDomain.com with your actual domain.)





6) Next you would type in your pop account username and password. Make sure to replace POPaccount with the name of your POP account and YourDomain.com with your actual domain.






7) Click next and you should see this:




Click Finish.

 

8) Next click Tools > Accounts and you should see this:



Select the account you just made and click Properties.

9) From here click the Servers tab and make sure the box that says "My server requires authentication" is checked.



After this you should be able to send and recieve mail from this account. If you are unable to send mail it is suggested that you try using your ISP's SMTP servers.
