Configuring Evolution For Your Account. For more info about setting up accounts in Evolution see your help files.

1. Open Evolution
2. If you are opening Evolution for the first time you will see this prompt:



3. From here click next.
Then type in a name in the "Full Name:" field and the e-mail address you are setting up in the "Email address:" field. After this click next.




4. Next pick POP under the server Type and type in mail.YourDomain.com (make sure to replace YourDomain.com with your actual domain) in the host field and the account username in the username field (you will need to put the full address in the username field if you are setting up an additional account.) After this you should be able to click next.





5. On this next page you can select any setting you would like to use. After you are done click next.





6. Next, Make sure the Server Type is SMTP.
Under Host put in mail.YourDomain.com (make sure to replace YourDomain.com with your actual domain) Also check the Server requires authentication box and type in your username (you will need to put the full address in the username field if you are setting up an additional account besides your main account.) After this click next.





 

7. Next you will need to name the account. You can name it anything you would like. After you do this click next.






8. Next click the time zone closest to your location and click next..





9. On this next page you can select any setting you would like to use. After you are done click next.






10. After this you are done setting up Evolution. All you will need to do is type in your password when it is needed. Click Finish.





Your should now be able to send and receive e-mail. If you have problems sending e-mail try using your ISP's SMTP servers.
