Configuring Eudora 5.1 For Your Account.
For more info about setting up accounts in Eudora 5.1 see your help files.
1. Open Eudora 5.1
2. If you are using Eudora 5.1 for the first time you will get this prompt.
3. To continue click 'Next >'
4. You will see something like the following:
5. Click the Radio Button that says 'Create a brand new email account.' or something similar to that.
6. You should see a window asking you to enter a name. You can enter any name you want.
7. After you are done with that click next.
8. Next enter your e-mail address.
9. If you're setting up your default e-mail account you can put anything in the 'Email Address' field.
10. Make sure that the e-mail you entered is in the form of ' e-mail-address@Yourdomain ' without the quotes. Click next.
11. Enter your account's username in the 'Login Name' field. Click next. (Note: If this a POP account enter the POP account name and @Yourdomain. I.E. Mypopaccount@Yourdomain.com )
12. Now you should see the 'Incoming Email Server' window.
13. In the 'Incoming Server:' field type in Mail.Yourdomain.com make sure to replace Yourdomain.com with your actual domain.
14. Make sure that POP is selected before clicking next.
15. You should see the 'Outgoing Email Server' window. Enter mail.yourdomain.com in the 'Outgoing Server' field.
(remember to replace Yourdomain.com with your actual domain).
16. Make sure that the check box that says 'Allow authentication' is checked. Click next.
17. That's it. You have setup your first Eudora 5.1 E-mail account.
